| Nathaniel Walters
Nathaniel Walters is a founding member of Little Red Dots artist
collective and co-organizer of the ShowHaus project. To inaugurate
their new live/work space, Nathaniel will be unveiling a limited
collection of handcrafted furniture during the Kuo Chuan Lifestyles
event.
An organic wood stool with echoes of classic Chris-Craft luxury yacht
lamination is revealed to be sourced entirely from antique hardwood
driftwood and discarded packing crates. A coffee table inspired by a
Japanese Zen Garden is composed of granite from a forgotten quarry and
pallet wood. A stacking component wine rack is made of a terrazzo of
wine bottle and beach glass.
The simple functionality of these pieces marks a major departure from
Nathaniel's previous works in sculpture and film, but on close
inspection a common exploration of nature vs. urban development can be
seen in the choice of materials, design and presentation.
